The 2022-2023 Subaru WRX Tail as Turn® + Backup Module allows you to convert your 2022-2023 Subaru WRX tail lights to also function as turn signals. The kit also allows you to convert the old turn signal into an extra LED backup light for increased visibility when reversing at night.

Mounting Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Plastic Clip
Open the trunk to begin the installation. Using a Phillips head screwdriver and a plastic trim removal tool, remove the plastic clip on the top side of the tail light cover.
Step 2 - Remove Tail Light Cover
Using a plastic trim removal tool, remove the plastic tail light cover by prying in between the trunk and the cover.
Step 3 - Remove Bolts
Using a 10mm socket, remove the two bolts securing the tail light to the vehicle.
Step 4 - Remove Tail Light
Remove the tail light by sliding it away from the vehicle, gently popping it out of place.
Note: There is a fastener securing the tail light to the vehicle in the outer corner.
Step 5 - Connect Module
Disconnect the tail light connector by depressing the tab and pulling it out. Then plug the new Tail As Turn® module inline between the factory connector and the tail light.
Step 6 - Remove Bulb
Remove the halogen turn signal bulb from the factory housing.
Step 7 - Replace Bulbs (optional)
If you choose to add the additional reverse light, replace the factory signal bulb removed in Step 6 with the new Diode Dynamics LED bulb.
NOTE: LED bulbs must be used, instead of standard bulbs, since you will be drawing power from the backup light circuit.
If you purchased replacement LED reverse light bulbs for the factory reverse light location, remove the factory reverse light bulb and replace it with the new Diode Dynamics LED bulb. Check the polarity of the bulbs before reinstalling the tail light. If either bulb does not light up, remove it and flip it 180°, and then reinstall.
Step 8 - Reinstall Tail Light
Tuck the wiring in and reinstall the tail light by installing the previously removed 10mm bolts, tail light cover, and plastic clip. Repeat these steps on the other side of the vehicle to complete the installation.
Caution: Resistors will be hot to the touch when the turn signal is activated for prolonged periods. This is normal.
