Mounting Instructions
Step 1 - Disassemble Headlight
Remove the lens and set the headlamp assembly aside. Next, remove the three screws holding the bezel to the lens. Then remove the bezel from the headlight lens.
Step 2 - Unclip Reflector Lens
Bring the bezel to a soft, non-marring working surface. Then unclip the reflector lens from the bezel by squeezing the clear clips with a pair of pliers and pushing downward on them.
Step 3 - Remove Reflector Lens
Pull the reflector lens straight out to remove it and set it aside.
Step 4 - Install C-Light
Install your new Diode Dynamics C-Light by running the wires through the hole where the factory bulb was and setting the LED board into place.
Step 5 - Reinstall Reflector Lens
Reinstall the reflector lens into the bezel by aligning the clear clips and snapping them back into their original position. Align all of the clips at once.
Step 6 - Reinstall Bezel
Using a microfiber cloth, remove any fingerprints that may be on the bezel then reinstall it back into the headlight lens by clipping it into place. Reinstall the original screws.
Step 7 - Reinstall Headlamp Lens
Reinstall the lens on the headlamp assembly by running the wires through the existing factory hole or grommet. Set the lens into place and apply pressure to snap the original clips back into place. Reinstall the original screws and repeat for the other headlamp.
Wiring Instructions
Step 8 - Connect LED Board
First, connect the board connector to the Switchback driver output. Connect the Switchback driver input to the pigtail. Finally, tap the bare wires to the wiring harness. See the Wiring Method Diagram below. The black wire must be grounded before any function will work.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT plug the LED panel directly into the pigtail without the driver.
The LEDs must be plugged into the driver first to control the power.
Step 9 - Mount Driver
Mount the driver and tuck all wires. The driver should be mounted outside of the headlight for serviceability, in a location away from the engine block to avoid excessive heat buildup.
Step 10 - Test and Complete Installation
Test thoroughly, reseal the headlight, and reinstall onto the vehicle.
