Time Required: Approximately 20 minutes
Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Move the Clutch Reservoir
If equipped, remove the clutch reservoir from the side panel using a 10mm wrench. Push it back toward the firewall to clear space for the new bracket installation.
Step 2 — Replace the Ground Bolt
Using a 10mm wrench, remove the ground bolt located in the lower wheel well beneath the fuse box. Replace it with the supplied screw and leave about ½ inch of thread exposed—do not fully tighten yet.
Step 3 — Install the First Mounting Bracket
Install the first mounting bracket with the fork side facing down onto the previously installed screw. Loosely tighten it so that you can still make adjustments later.
Step 4 — Mount the Second Bracket to the Side Panel
Attach the second mounting bracket to the side panel. If your Tacoma is equipped with a clutch reservoir, use the factory fasteners. If not, use the provided screws from the kit.
Step 5 — Reattach the Clutch Reservoir
If equipped, relocate the clutch reservoir to the back flange of the second mounting bracket using the provided screws and nuts. Tighten using a 12mm and 13mm wrench. Then, use a 10mm socket and wrench to connect both brackets securely using the included hardware.
Step 6 — Final Tightening and Hub Installation
Tighten all remaining fasteners, including the ground bolt and side panel bolts. Finally, attach the D-Switch Hub to the bracket using the fasteners supplied with your D-Switch kit.
